Anxiety
Everyone experiences worry or anxiety in their life, and it can vary in intensity from mild to severe where it can prevent a person from actively engaging in their preferred activities.
Anxiety can lead to changes in sleeping, tension within the body, avoidance of activities, a sense of being overwhelmed, a sense of the mind racing and unable to decide what to do or agreeing to do things that might not fit with your values.
Therapy can provide a space to help understand your own unique experience of anxiety or worry and to explore different ways of coping, building on your existing skills.

Sadness/Low mood/Depression
As with anxiety, anyone can experience episodes of low mood or sadness. This might vary from a general sense of sadness and crying to an overwhelming sense of sadness where we might want to hide from the world.
People might experience changes in sleeping patterns, eating habits and a loss of pleasure from activities that have previously been enjoyed.
Therapy can provide a space to help understand your own unique experience of low mood and to explore different ways of coping, building on your existing skills.

Anger
Sometimes people might experience challenges managing their anger or that they are aware they are always fighting with others or quick to lose their temper.
Therapy can provide a space to help understand your own unique experience of anger and to explore different ways of coping, building on your existing skills.

Stress
Stress can be a slow build up across several weeks or months or it can be a rapid change linked to a major event. Stress can be like living with chronic anxiety and it can change the way that we think and our ability to cope with day to day challenges.
Stress can be associated with specific events such as a work issue, a family issue, upcoming exams, moving to a new house or planning for an event.
Stress can be linked to one event or to the cumulative impact of multiple events.
Therapy can provide a space to help understand your own unique experience of stress and to explore different ways of coping, building on your existing skills.

Bereavement/Grief
When we experience the loss of a loved one, we will experience a sense of loss and grief. Sometimes this loss can feel overwhelming and we might find it helpful to access a safe space to talk through the personal meaning of the loss.
Therapy can provide a space to help understand your own unique experience of bereavement and to explore different ways of coping, building on your existing skills.

Relationship Difficulties
Anyone can experience difficulties with relationships, whether it is intimate relationships, friendships or family relationships. Therapy can provide an opportunity to explore your own patterns of behaviour within relationships and to think about what you might like to be different and what skills might help you with this.

Adjustment to illness/disability/life changes
Adjusting to dramatic and unexpected changes in our lives can be like coping with a bereavement or loss.
Therapy can provide a space to give time to make sense of what has happened and to support coping with the impact of the unexpected changes, building on your existing skills.
